Ferrero

THE BEGINNING IN ALBA AND THE FOLLOWING YEARS You have to go back to the 1940s to discover the roots of this success. These are the years during which Piera and Pietro, Michele's parents, transform a pastry shop into a factory. The Ferrero family would become the first post-war Italian producer to open factories and offices abroad in the confectionery sector, making the company a truly international group. These initial and decisive steps were made possible thanks to the products designed by Pietro Ferrero and his son Michele, then very young. Another key to this success is the efficient sales network set up by Pietro's brother, Giovanni, who died in 1949.
