Gonzalez Byass

It was the year 1835 when the young Manuel María González Ángel began a long career dedicated to the world of wine. Tradition, innovation, sustainability and the pursuit of excellence are his legacy. In 1935, when the first centenary of González Byass's foundation was being celebrated, the company's head of propaganda, Luís Pérez Solero , devised and designed a series of icons with the winery's bottles wearing different types of clothing. Among them, the icon of Tío Pepe stood out, represented with a wide-brimmed hat and red Andalusian jacket, with a presence in more than 100 countries, becoming one of the most iconic symbols in the history of communication and one of the most recognized brands in Spain. Mission Our reason for being is the production and marketing of wines and spirits, always faithful to our roots as a family winery and to the quality standards that were established from the beginning. Our work is what best defines us.
